Non-Discrimination Policy
Novastar KidsCo.Education does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, the need for special education services, creed, gender identity, gender expression, religion, ancestry, marital status, or any other legally protected class status. This non-discrimination policy applies to admission to its programs, services, or activities; access to them; treatment of individuals; hiring; employment; and all other aspects of its operations. The lack of English language skills shall not be a barrier to admission or participation in the school’s activities and programs.
This notice is provided as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The School’s Compliance Officer and Title IX Coordinator, who can address questions or complaints (including, without limitation, allegations of sexual harassment under Title IX), is Dr. Scott Mendelsberg, 6260 South Dayton Street, Englewood, CO 80111, 303-779-8988. Colorado CROWN Act Compliance
In compliance with the Colorado CROWN Act, any practices or references in the School's handbooks or policies related to prohibiting discrimination on the basis of an individual’s race shall include a person’s hair texture, hair type, or a protective hairstyle that is commonly or historically associated with race. Specifically, without limitation, such protective hairstyles include styles such as braids, locs, twists, tight coils or curls, cornrows, Bantu knots, Afros, and head wraps.
